MotorFiend offers FREE standard USPS shipping to all US fifty states on all of our products. We also offer an upgrade to USPS Priority mail shipping for an optional $9.95.

By purchasing from Open House Websites (trading as the customer agrees to abide by all of our return, refund, exchange and store credit policies. Changes to our policies can be made at any time without notification. It is the customer’s responsibility to check on MotorFiend's most recent return and exchange policy before purchasing.

Q: Shipping

All of MotorFiend's HID products are shipped from our warehouse in California, USA. Other products are shipped from Hong Kong. We ship worldwide, but the free shipping only applies to the fifty US states.

Q: Order Cancellations & Refunds

Customers wishing to cancel an order before it is shipped will be charged a cancellation fee of $10.00. This amount is charged no matter which payment method is used, as it covers merchant fees and the time involved to process and refund transactions. Please choose carefully before purchasing to avoid this charge or speak with our customer service team if you are unsure about your purchase.

If you decide an item you've purchased is not suitable for your needs after it is shipped you may return it to us, but only within seven days of receiving it and the items you are returning must be brand new and unopened.

The customer is responsible for the full cost of returning the item to us and MotorFiend reserves the right to withhold a 25% restocking and handling fee which covers shipping costs and processing of your returned item. The 25% is calculated on the total cost of your order.

Q: Damaged or Defective Items

In cases where the item was received damaged or defective we require a digital photograph be emailed to us within seven days of receiving your item. The customer must contact us within seven days of receiving the item; if not claims for refunds will not be accepted.

If your return is approved you will be issued a return authorization code, which needs to be clearly displayed on the returned item packaging. MotorFiend will refund your shipping cost once the item has been received and tested it, however conditions apply***. Customers are required to keep the receipt for shipping together with tracking number (if available) as proof they have shipped the item to us. It may take anywhere from 7-14 business days to process a refund. Once a refund is issued through our merchant please allow 5-7 BUSINESS Days for the funds to return to the original credit card used during the purchase of the order.

Motor Fiend is not responsible for any damages to the item that were caused due to the customer’s mishandling of the product or incorrect installation. For example: if the item is dropped and cracks during installation or handling, or the customer burns out a ballast due to incorrect wiring Motor Fiend will not be held liable for the damages.

*** Please be aware that we test all returned items. If they are found to be free from defects we will hold the item until the customer pays for return shipping. We charge a flat rate for return shipping for a HID kit within the USA. This rate is set at $9.95 ***

Q: Canada:

MotorFiend ships all orders to Canada for a flat rate of US$16.95. This amount is charged per shipment, not per item. Canadian customs may charge you importation tax, duty or other fees. These fees are payable by the customer.

Q: All Other Countries:

All exchange requests are to be sent via email within seven days of receiving your item. The items you are exchanging must be brand new and unopened. If the product does look opened or used, Motor Fiend reserves the right to not accept the exchange and we will return the used item to you, at your expense.

MotorFiend is not responsible for customers ordering the wrong accessories for their vehicles, therefore if a customer wishes to exchange an item the customer is responsible for the shipping costs both ways.

In order to process your return, please make sure to include the basic order information with your return and the reason for your return. (This means your order number, your full names used while purchasing, and the date you ordered).

You can find all of this information at the top of the invoice that was emailed to you when you made your purchase. To find it search your email inbox for the term ‘motorfiend’.

Please note that if you fail to provide us with the necessary information regarding your order the exchange processing time may be prolonged due to the time it takes to gather the required information.

In cases where the exchange of the item has been used or opened it will be returned to the customer. The exchange process may take anywhere from 7-10 business days once the item(s) reaches us.

Customers must retain their proof of shipping receipt and tracking number, as this information will be requested by MotorFiend if your item is not received.
